Girls on the Run Frederick County Fall 2017 Program Registration

SEASON STARTS: Week of September 11th


Online Registration – Girls on the Run of Frederick County engages in a lottery based online registration system to ensure a fair and equal process for all girls. Parents/Guardians are able to sign their girl up online any time between August 10th and August 12th.  The lottery will be processed on Sunday, August 13th.   After this, all new registrations received will be accepted on a first-come first-serve basis.

To sign up for the online, please have the following information available:

  • Parent/Guardian Contact Information
  • Emergency Contact Information
  • Health Information (Allergies, medications, etc.)
  • Insurance Information (Have insurance card available)
  • Credit/Debit Card

When you register your girl, you will be asked to submit a form of payment. You will only be charged for the registration if and when your girl is placed on a team. If there are more spaces available on the team than girls registered, everyone will be placed on the team and the remaining spaces will be open for first come, first serve registration.

Paper Registration – Please contact for the registration form and additional information. All completed registration forms and payments are due to our office by March 7. Paper registration is first-come, first-serve. 

We offer two payment plan options for online registration.  You can choose from two or three installments.  The first payment will be processed at the time of registration. Personal checks for payment can be accepted by contacting

GOTR of Frederick County believes that every girl deserves a chance to take part in the Girls on the Run curriculum regardless of her financial circumstances. We have some scholarships available to families in need. The following tiers are in effect based on need, income and fund availability:

- Families that qualified for Free and Reduced Meals (FARMS) through Frederick County Schools pay a $75* fee.

-  Families that qualified for FARMS and have a household income under $30,000 pay a $25* fee.

*There is a $3.50 processing fee per registration.

Please note that  financial assistance options require a copy of the FARMS eligibility form from the prior or current (if available) school year to be submitted with registration as well as documentation showing the income level stated.

If you do not qualify under these options, yet feel that the registration fees would prohibit your daughter from participating, please contact us to make arrangements at

If you do NOT need financial assistance, please pay the full registration fee.  The cost to deliver the Girls on the Run program in our community is over the $150 registration fee, but thanks to to the generosity of local sponsors, donors, grantors, and fundraising efforts, we are able to provide scholarships to truly needy families in our community this season.  It is the policy of GOTR of Frederick County to offer our program to all girls who desire to participate, regardless of their family's financial status.


Girls on the Run of Frederick County will refund 50% of the registration fee (minus the $3.50 online service charge) if requested in writing prior to the 4th lesson of a Girls on the Run of Frederick County program.  No refunds will be issued for any terminations after the 4th lesson except in the event that an unforseen illness or health issue arises after the 4th lesson. Such instances will be handled on a case by case basis and discussion and review will be held prior to refunding 50% of the registration fee. If a site is canceled due to insufficient registration or other circumstances deemed appropriate by the Council Director, the full registration fee will be refunded.
